GROWTH

Four Disciplines. One Career.

Structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing — exposure across all four disciplines means you grow faster than at a single-specialty firm. Most engineers wait a decade for this breadth. Here, it’s day one.

Structural Engineer

Full-Time
Boca Raton, FL · In Person$90,000 – $130,000 / year

Most structural engineers spend their first five years running calculations someone else stamps. At CDN, you'll work directly with the Principal PE on every project — production developments, custom estates, value engineering studies. Your analysis. Your name in the documents. Real responsibility from day one.

What you'll do

  • Design and analyze structural systems for residential projects across South Florida — from 200-unit production developments to waterfront custom homes
  • Perform wind load analysis, foundation design, and shoring/reshoring calculations for HVHZ and flood zone compliance
  • Conduct value engineering studies — evaluating alternative materials, structural systems, and construction methods to reduce client costs without sacrificing code compliance
  • Prepare permit-ready construction documents, shop drawing reviews, and structural inspection reports
  • Collaborate directly with the PE on every project — no layers between you and the work
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with full ownership of your deliverables
  • Build deep expertise in FBC 8th Edition, ASCE 7, and South Florida’s unique regulatory environment

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • PE license preferred (EI/FE actively working toward PE welcome)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam (RISA, ETABS, or similar analysis software a plus)
  • Residential structural design experience strongly preferred
  • Comfort working in South Florida’s regulatory environment (HVHZ, flood zones, FBC) — or genuine eagerness to learn it
  • The kind of engineer who takes ownership of their work, not just their tasks
